The Challenge
As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spinoff of Siemens Energy from Siemens, the payroll operating model moving forward will be fully comprehensive, split between a professional HR Business Process Outsourcing for zero to gross processing and managed payroll (gross to net) with industry-leading payroll providers. We are looking for Regional Payroll Specialists to support our Regional Payroll Leads in driving and implementing the overall strategy and governance for payroll within the region, ensuring operational performance with third parties, driving standardization & efficient/lean processes, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Your profile
- Collaborative style, happy to interact with multiple stakeholders, e.g., in HR Centres of Competence and HR Business Partners in the Regions, Accounting department, IT department, management, …
- You can build trust
- Experienced in Payroll management on a regional or sub-regional scale
- Thrives in a global environment, working flexibly where required
- Excellent proficiency in English plus Korean or Japanese
- You are solution driven with excellent critical thinking skills
Must Have
- Full-time bachelor’s degree (accounting/finance background is a plus)
- 5-8 years of experience in payroll processing for the APAC region
- Sound knowledge of payroll compliances and audits
- Understanding of HCM and Time & Attendance integrations with payroll (Workday, Kronos, etc.)
- Prior experience working in a multi-country payroll outsourcing environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in using MS Office tools (MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
Your responsibilities
- Be a key player in our payroll transformation project as part of a wider HR transformation program
- Support the Regional Centre of Competence leads in developing and building the global payroll governance approach
- Ensure control framework is implemented and actively supervised in the region
- Ensure payroll performance of third parties through key performance and risk indicators
- Find opportunities for improvement (i.e., processes) to ensure global standard and efficient operational delivery
- Bring sound knowledge and experience in multi-country payroll delivery and governance, delivering change and re-engineering processes.
- Collaborating with other partners i.e., Accounting, Treasury, etc, to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and followed
